DigitalOcean Spaces (S3-compatible object storage). Your originals never sit on a single machine, they sit in distributed object storage with cross-region replication.

Encryption in transit

TLS 1.3 the whole way up. Your upload is encrypted between your camera-to-laptop pipeline and our ingress.

Encryption at rest

Server-side encryption on the bucket. Your videos are not a public URL, every read goes through an authenticated request scoped to your account.

Replication

Multi-region. A single drive failure, a single data centre outage, neither can lose your ride.

Backups

Database snapshots taken daily; bucket lifecycle versioning keeps the previous version of any object you replace.

Train on it

The close-pass detector was trained on public accident footage, published incidents, crash compilations, road safety datasets. Not on your rides.

Sell it

Your footage is not a product. We don't license it to insurance companies, ad networks, or anyone else. Full stop.

Share with third parties

Nobody sees your footage except you and the people you choose to share specific incidents with. Police get a clip when you hand them one, not by talking to us.

Hold it hostage

Originals are downloadable at any point. Cancel and we'll give you 30 days to pull everything before deletion.

Surprise-charge you

No usage-based 'overage' billing. Free is free; Pro is $9. If we change pricing, existing subscribers keep their original rate.

Metadata is the report itself.

Alongside the original video we store the analysis output: the bounding boxes, the distance estimates, the vehicle reads, the plate consensus. This is what makes the report downloadable in seconds instead of re-running the pipeline every time.

Stored

Per-vehicle tracks, distances, vehicle identification, plate read, frame snapshots.

Not stored

Your camera's serial number, your phone's identifier, biometric data. We do not fingerprint your device.

Account info

Email, password hash (bcrypt), Stripe customer ID (for Pro). That's it.

Cancel and we’ll give you thirty daysto pull everything you want before it’s deleted.

That’s long enough to download every original you care about on a slow connection. After 30 days, your data and reports are permanently deleted, no shadow copies, no “just in case” backups kept around. If you re-subscribe inside the 30-day window, everything picks up where you left off.
